The work of health care professionals is extremely important and often it is the qualification and experience of healthcare professionals that define the effectiveness of treatment of patients and, in some cases, they can save the life of patients. In this respect, the role of anaesthetic technicians seems to be particularly important. At any rate, I believe that it is due to anaesthetic technicians patients can be prepared to and normally recover after surgeries.

In fact, the work of anaesthetic technicians implies the delivery of perioperative anaesthetic care. In order to understand the significance of anaesthetic care, it is necessary to take into consideration the role of anaesthesia and its possible impact on human health. In this respect, it is important to lay emphasis on the fact that errors are absolutely unacceptable in the work of an anaesthetic technician because they may produce extremely negative impact on patients’ health. For instance, the overdose or misuse of anaesthesia can lead to the lethal outcome of a surgery.

In such a situation, the role of an anaesthetic technician can hardly be underestimated. At the same time, it should be said that his function is not limited by the provision of anaesthetic car during a surgery. In contrast, he should prepare the patient for the surgery, while after the surgery, the anaesthetic technician should assist the patient to recover which is also very important because the state of the patient in the post-operative period may be unstable.

However, I would like to be an anaesthetic technician not only because it is a very important and useful work. Along with the desire to help people, I have educational background which I believe will help me to become a good anaesthetic technician. In addition, my family supports me in my choice and this support is very important because it my education alone is not enough to succeed in this highly responsible work.
