Online Articles Turned into eBooks; Should You Sell Them

Many online article authors have taken their many articles and compiled them into eBooks. This makes sense and can be of value to someone who needs this information and indeed it is one more way to get the information out using yet another highly successful and proven format.

At least one Editor, Copywriter and Article Authors suggests that if you are to do something like this, well you should not sell the books, as the folks who buy them might be a little upset latter to see that all that information is in articles that they can get for free. You know I agree with her comments, she is correct in that if you compile all your articles into eBooks that it simply is not right to sell the eBooks.

I know in the current 94 Books or eBooks I am writing much of the content is done of course some 3 million words contained in previously written articles. Lately, I have put together introductions to the books and in writing them I see that although much of the content will be compilations of articles, there will need to be bleed in content, chapter intros and I also plan on including drawings, sketches and pictures to help better illustrate the points and Introductions and essays to each chapter.

Thus I feel it fair to sell them at a nominal amount or dress them up with co-authors to really make them worthy of paper book formats. Perhaps you might consider taking your articles, adding to them and making an eBook and hopefully you will consider this advice so it is fair to the reader and purchaser of your eBooks. This way everyone wins. Maybe this article might propel thought into the future and perhaps it is of interest to you in 2007.
