Middle East Conflicts

To begin with, it should be noted that nowadays, the fifth generation of Israelis and Palestinians participating in this major Middle East conflict. As a fact, all these generations were formed under the influence of the conflict that engulfed all aspects of life. Moreover, during this time, each side has formed its huge store of myths, alterations of history, propaganda and prejudices, which grow in abundance of fear and loathing that accompany any war. As a result, each party defines its vision of 120 years conflict.
Zionist and Palestinian vision contradict each other, both in general moments and in detail. It should be noted overcoming of such a long conflict is only possible if each side is fully understands the complex political and spiritual beliefs of other side of the conflict and is ready to cooperate, negotiate and make compromise decision. However, ignorant approach to the problem deprives us from a chance for a peaceful resolution of the conflict. Thus, the primary task of the new strategy, which is called “camps the world” – get rid of the old myths and provide a new vision of the conflict. This strategy intends the necessity of each side to hear what is said by other side and understand its look at the historical conflict and its place in this conflict in order to try to reconcile two national ideas, and ultimately unite them into one. The use of any other approach will lead to the continuation of the conflict to infinity when brief periods of calm and seeming bringing the parties interrupted by new bombings violence at both the local (Israeli-Palestinian) and at the regional level. Since the Middle East is becoming more and more equipped with the weapon of mass lesions, each new round of conflict threatens the destruction of both parties, as described in Israel and Palestine: Middle East Historical and Peace Process Source Documents.
It can be said that today at the heart of the conflict is armed opposition to the Jewish and Palestinian peoples. Ultimately, this is international conflict, although it has religious, social and other parties. The Zionist movement was initially a reaction persecution of Jews in Europe by other nationalist movements. Since Jews had no place to live in Europe – some of them decided pour into an independent nation – state in which Jewish people could have their own destiny. From traditions and religious excitations Zionists have turned their gaze to the “Holy land” and decided to establish a Jewish state on its territory. Zionist slogan was: “A land without people – for a people without land”. However, on this territory have already lived 500.000 Palestinians. Not surprisingly, this population resisted to the arrival of immigrant aliens. Almost simultaneously with Zionism, Arab nationalist movement had arisen, which first struggled with the Ottoman regime, and then – with colonial countries, divided between the Ottoman Empire after the First World War. After the capture of Palestine by the Great Britain in an independent territorial unit Palestinian-Arab nationalist movement was separately emerged in fight against the Zionist immigration. In other words, since the end of World War I, in Palestine began confrontation between two national movements – Jewish and Arab, each of which sought to realize its dream to build a country in the same area. However, these two dreams were completely mutually exclusive and the situation is not changed to this day, as stated in 20th Century Middle East Conflict.
