Gilberth’s theory essay

Frank Gilberth is one of the development of the scientific management. He stood on the ground that the management should be developed on a solid scientific basis. Gilberth’s management theory promoted the idea of the regulation of the work of employees by managers to maximize their performance, effectiveness and productivity of their work by means of optimization of their skills and abilities, training of employees and their professional progress. In this respect, it should be said that Gilberth laid emphasis on the continuous quality improvement, which became a fundamental concept of his theory, but the quality improvement was to be achieved through routine training of employees and development of specific professional skills which allow improving the quality of products or services. At this point, it is worth mentioning his idea of the repeated motions, which actually implied that drills and permanent repetition of identical set of actions of employees can improve their performance and quality of products and services.
